What inspired the name Su-Kari? Is there meaning behind it?
The word Su-Kari means sugar in Swahili. I wanted a name for my company that would take my customers on a sensual journey and create an unexpected experience.
How long has the brand been in business?
The Su-Kari brand launched in June 2013. Within that time, I’ve participated in the Girls Night Out event with Yandy Smith; worked with a new designer at London fashion week; done a salon launch for New Orleans Saint’s running back, Darren Sproles, and his wife; and worked with ‘Women Doing it Big’ with Tiana Von Johnson—just to name a few.
From where do you source the natural and chemical free ingredients used to create Su-Kari products?
All of our ingredients are purchased from USDA certified organic wholesalers.
All Su-Kari products are customizable--how does a customer initiate this process, and about how long does it take to receive their order?
The process is very simple and hassle free for my customers. They can contact me by email at info@Su-Kari.com if they need an item customized. I do ask my customer to allow 7-12 business days for delivery.
Which Su-Kari products would you recommend for a woman looking to pamper herself before a night on the town with the girls, and how should she use them?
I would recommend she start with the Citrus Burst brown sugar scrub. In the shower she would apply a scoopful on her skin, massaging in a circular motion to exfoliate dead skin cells away. The smell of citrus would energize her for her night out on the town. Upon exiting the shower, I’d recommend applying the amazingly scented Mango Coconut body butter. It is formulated with ingredients such as Shea butter and jojoba oil that will leave her skin glowing and moisturized.
