As a lifelong consumer and wearer of nail polish, Latasha Cattouse remembered the joy and sense of creativity nail painting brought to her and her family and wanted to share her joy with other beauty lovers. Prior to starting graduate school in 2015, Latasha made the declaration to her family and friends that she would create an indie nail care line in the near future. Throughout graduate school, she consulted industry beauty professionals, researched, and developed what is now L'Marie Nail Lacquer, a 10-Free nail lacquer line (excludes 10 harmful chemicals found in nail polish). L'Marie Nail Lacquer is also cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, and not tested on animals.
The ingredients in our products are very important. Our formula is 10-Free which means that it excludes 10 of the most toxic chemicals found in nail polish. The most known toxins are Formaldehyde - it can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, skin, as well as cause nausea, DBP - Dibutyl phthalate is a plasticizer and is in plastics, which can cause irritation to the eyes and skin,Toluene - can affect the nervous system, and cause headaches, dizziness, and even birth defects in unborn children.
