Last month COCOTIQUE teamed up with This Is Dope (TID!) at the Essence Music Festival to bring beauty to cities along the east coast! The mobile boutique made stops in Baltimore, DC, Atlanta and New Orleans from June 24th to July 4th.
Formed by music industry veterans and culture designers Wendy Washington and Shirronda Sweet-Tafari, This is Dope! is a collective of fashion, music and retail in the form of a mobile boutique.
The truck was branded with the Grammy Award winning artist Maxwell, in conjunction with the release of his latest album blackSummers’night that was released on July 1st. Some fans received autographed CDs and exclusive promotional items when they preordered the album.
COCOTIQUE boxes were on full display as well as promo cards and Pink/Luster booklets and pamphlets. While customers browsed, a COCOTIQUE video clip aired continuously inside of the truck. Maxwell loved the truck and even took time to look through the products. TID! purchased and presented Maxwell with a gift basket and our June and July boxes were included for his enjoyment!
