Sweat Cosmetics was founded by five former professional and Olympic athletes who all know first hand what it’s like to lead hectic, busy, and sweaty lifestyles. We wanted to create products that fit perfectly into our daily schedules. We also knew we couldn't be the only ones that needed more convenience in our beauty products.
We made sure to create our products with multiple benefits, so you are accomplishing more when using Sweat™! Sun protection was our first concern, so we made sure to use Zinc Oxide: an all-natural SPF, and the most effective form of sun protection there is. Next, we wanted to make sure our product gave benefits to those who are active, so we added three more special ingredients: Milk Thistle, Vitamin E, and Rhodiola Rosea. These three ingredients are all-natural and help with recovery, moisture loss, and redness. Lastly, we wanted to make sure our product was travel friendly, which is why we decided on the Twist-Brush (explained below!)
We used ourselves as the test market. Everything we did, we thought, “would I like that? At the end of the day, we couldn't picture ourselves twirling a cosmetic brush into a compact of powder and applying makeup to our faces before practice or the gym. We needed something “friendly”, something more chic and incognito. We came up with the concept of the Twist-Brush to add convenience into our product, making foundation and sun protection an easy part of our daily routine.
Our Mineral Foundation comes in five shades at this time, but we will be expanding our shades this summer.
100%! This product was specifically formulated for those with problem/sensitive skin. Our products are oil-free, fragrance-free, silicone-free, and preservative-free. And on top of that, we have gone through extra formulations and testing to make sure we are hypoallergenic and dermatologist-approved.
Yes, I would recommend our product for your face, neck, chest and shoulders. I would also suggest using extra protection and love as the skin is sensitive in those areas. .
Let’s tackle heat first: We chose to formulate with mineral powder for this exact reason. Being professional athletes, we tried everything from tinted moisturizer to heavy liquid foundation. We found that mineral powder was the best way to keep your make up in tact and your breakouts at bay. Everything else tended to run down our faces when in contact with the heat. We have also been told our product holds up better in the heat, and the minerals adhere to your skin even more!
Swimming: Our mineral powder has been tested to be 80 minute water-resistant - swimming included! Just be sure to reapply every 80 minutes to make sure you are always protected from the sun. Also, just a tip: if you are swimming or sweating, pat dry, don’t wipe. It will help it last even longer!
Absolutely! Just make sure to remove the brush head from the top of the Twist-Brush (It’s magnetic!). Wash this with a mild cleanser, like you would any other makeup brush, and make sure it FULLY dries before placing it back on the Twist-Brush.
Refills typically last between 6-8 weeks, depending on how often you reapply throughout the day.
