Tell us the Ginger and Liz story. How did the brand get its start?
Ginger + Liz Colour Collection is the popular brand of vegan friendly and toxin-free nail lacquer with a devoted base of style setting customers and celebrity fans.
We are girlfriends that bonded 10 years ago over all things beauty, with a particular love for nail lacquer. We also made a strong connection over our personal journeys to becoming vegan and vegetarian and how it positively affected our overall health and beauty regime. We had an "aha" moment one afternoon in 2009 while chatting about the lack of opaque cremes, vivid brights and cool nudes to compliment our skin tones offered by the nail polishes we used. That very day the concept of our vegan-friendly and toxin free nail lacquer line was born and nearly one year later, Ginger+ Liz Colour Collection was launched!
What ingredients or properties make your product especially effective or unique?
Our nail lacquer formulas are free of harsh chemicals and carcinogens like toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor also know as BIG 5 FREE. We pride ourselves on being the original vegan friendly nail lacquer that uses the safest ingredients on the market. In 2015 we expanded our product offerings with the launch of our Hand Toning Creme with tamanu oil and our 100% natural Pout Polish sugar lip scrub. Our hand creme is free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic color, cocamide dea & paraffin (mineral) oil, gluten-Free, vegan Friendly, not tested on animals and made in the USA - not to mention has Tamanu Oil which our Power 5 ingredient because it tones, heals, hydrates, regenerates, and protects from natural sun exposure.
Why does a woman need your product in her skin care routine?
Women should include Ginger + Liz into their beauty routine because like skin, nail beds are porus and should be treated with tender loving care. Using our product, which is free of all harmful toxins including the "big 5", will help lessen the exposure to chemicals that can easily seep in the body via the nail beds.
