New Hawaiian Silky Products: DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK!

That’s right, Hawaiian Silky is back! This legacy brand of hair care products for textured hair is making its comeback in the COCOTIQUE September Box. We are so excited to introduce you to their new Triple Butter Collection that was inspired by the naturalista.

Their timing couldn’t be better, as many women have walked away from chemically-based relaxers and straighteners and are looking for natural alternatives for safer hair care.

Read all about Hawaiian Silky’s return and the key ingredients in the new Triple Butter Collection.

When did the brand get its start?

Hawaiian Silky is a 35-year-old legacy brand that got its start as a relaxer brand. When most people hear the name ‘Hawaiian Silky’ they automatically say, “Ohhhh, my mom used to use that relaxer.”

Hawaiian Silky is still well known for its relaxers. However, in the past 15 years the brand has also developed a ‘cult like’ following with our, Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14-in-1 product. It’s definitely a consumer favorite and really lives up to its promise to provide 14 hair benefits in 1 product! Another fan favorite is the super moisturizing Hawaiian Silky Activator Gel.

What’s the inspiration behind the launch of this new Collection?

The launch of Triple Butter was inspired by the naturalista. Our goal while developing this line was to provide the naturalista with the right offerings.

We wanted to provide her with the products that she desires to properly care for her hair. Products that are solution focused, have interesting and effective ingredient stories and smell great.

We studied market trends and data and found that one of the most problematic issues for the naturalista is retaining moisture...and we wanted to solve that for her.

How does the Triple Butter Collection differ from your other products?

This collection stands apart from our legacy products because it is a solution focused regimen driven by high efficacious ingredients that deliver on the promise to hydrate & define dry, coily, curly hair. This and the future iterations under this brand extension are about providing solutions that satisfy the consumer’s top hair concerns.

What are the key ingredients in your Hawaiian Silky Triple Butter products?

The key ingredients in Hawaiian Silky Collection Triple Butter are moisture-rich Mango Butter, curl enhancing Murumuru Butter and softening-sealing Shea Butter. This trifecta ingredient story is the ultimate fusion to achieve Hydration and Definition.

Can the Triple Butter Collection be used as a system or can they be used alone?

The Triple Butter Collection can absolutely be used as a system! However, depending on what your style needs are, products can also be paired or used independently.

Are Hawaiian Silky products good for all hair types?

The Triple Butter Collection is specifically formulated for dry, curly, coily hair, 4a – 4c hair types. However, future collections will address other common hair needs (i.e. growth, repair, dandruff etc.) and will therefore be more inclusive to offering solutions for other/all hair types.

What’s next for Hawaiian Silky?

This is a really exciting time for Hawaiian Silky! We have developed an innovation plan that will propel the brand to become a destination for healthy, hair care for African-American women with all hair types, styles and textures.
